A dental implant is a screw-shaped component made of pure titanium (99.95 %), whose role is to create an artificial root in the jawbone in edentulous areas (where one or more natural teeth are missing).
This structure consists of two parts: an intraosseous one (the implant) and a supraosseous one called the abutment.
The main options for prosthetic rehabilitation on dental implants are:
◘ crown on a dental implant
◘ a fixed bridge on several implants, which can be either cemented or screw-retained.
◘ a full implant-retained removable overdenture, which requires at least 2 implants for the lower jaw (4 would be ideal) and at least 4 implants for the upper jaw (6 would be ideal).

The Sky Fast&Fixed system combines extraction, implant placement and temporary restoration in a single surgical procedure on the same day. Thanks to the angled implants, the native bone becomes a perfect biomechanical support for the restoration. Immediate loading is also possible because the implants are connected into a passive structure by a temporary bridge cemented intraorally. The temporary bridge is produced within about 2 hours.
